Amd 9850 x4 2.5Ghz Not Box so i dont know is it black edition or not
black edition cpu’s are for enthusiasts that like to overclock…it is a unlocked multiplier…so if you have a fsb of 200mhz x a 14 multiplier you get 2.8ghz…raise the multiplier to 15 and you get 3.0ghz…its an easy way to gain performance rather than raising the fsb speed….
if you have a regular cpu(not a black edition) you cant change the multiplier to overclock…you have to raise the fsb(front side bus) by increments all the while raising vcore and other voltages to get a stable overclock….much harder to do than just raising the multiplier….
