My ipod click wheel doesn’t scroll anymore. How do i fix it at home?

My Ipod click wheel isn’t scrolling now. It used to scroll all by itself without me touching it. Now it doesn’t work at all.

Usually simply reseting the Ipod will do the trick–to reset it, slide the lock switch (located on the top of the Ipod, on the left hand side), to the lock position, then immediately slide it back to the original postion. Then, press the menu button and the center button together for 2 seconds, until you see the apple logo appear on the screen. my sister had the exact same problem with her Ipod, and when I reset it for her, it went right back to working normally.
