Why does Windows Media Player take so long to begin to play a video clip in Vista?
It takes my player all all three of my computers nearly 60 seconds to begin playing a video clip. The old player on XP loaded and played in less than 10 seconds
Unlike previous version of WMP, the Vista WMP relies heavily on the GPU. Make sure you download and installed all the latest patches for WMP.
