why is my lcd black and flicker every so often?

my lcd has been working fine went in tonight and the screen is black and flickers every so often the on off switch flickers also.my cp works fine on a different monitor can anyone tell me what to look for to fix
maybe i wasn’t clear but the lcd is black and every so often the on off switch blinks and so does the screen

Next time it goes black, look at the screen from an angle.
if you can see it from an angle it means that the inverter for the lcd is sick. This is a replaceable part by your local tech.
