Windows Media Player 11- why doesn’t it automatically add…?

the thousands of music files I recently uploaded from my PMP player onto my laptop?

The only way I appear to be able to add files to the new player is to play each album individually- is there not a quicker way?

Any help would be appreciated- remember to explain in laymen’s terms, I’m as far from being a computer whizz as you can imagine.

Depending on the skin you have applied, right-click on an area of the player and go to Tools > Options…
Click the ‘Library’ tab and click the ‘Monitor Folders’ button.
Click the ‘Add’ button and browse to the directory where you generally put your music files.
From then on, your music should be added automatically.
