Why does the Lcd Light on my Volvo OEM radio keep fading to off?
When I turn on my radio, the light for the LCD will come on, and then it fades out and will not come back on until the car has been off for a few hours. Is the bulb bad or is it something else?
1990 Volvo 740 GL Sedan
The radio unit has a volume/on/off knob on the left and a radio dial on the right. It is the AM/FM/FM2/Cassette model.
I want to keep the thing OEM since I haven’t seen any aftermarket stuff that is boxy and square and boring enough to compare to the current one. In short, I think all the aftermarket stuff I’ve seen looks gay with all the flashing blue led lights and other un-useable b.s. This is a Swedish car. Everything is what it is. Minimalist perfection.
I’m pretty sure its not fluorescent…otherwise the light would not fade.
i think is the radio itself is about to go bad just buy a after market stereo.
