what is a good frequency for a home made wireless telegraph transmitter if the receiver is in the same room?
i am planning to build the oscillator circuit using a 555 pin and i want to know what is the frequency i can use so that the morse code is transmitted to the receiver antenna.
also if the 555 pin doesn’t give the desired frequency . any advice on how to build another oscillator which produces the correct desired frequency?

you need to look up the FCC specs if you are building a transmitter. My vague memory is that you are allowed a low power transmission in the AM band, which is about 1 MHz.
A 555, as I said, won’t go anywhere close to that frequency. You need some understanding of electronics if you are going to succeed at this fairly difficult project.
search google for “circuit am transmitter” and you will find lots. The link has one example. You could replace the microphone with a telegraph key.
You also have to consider what you are using for a receiver. I’d get a cheap AM radio, so that also dictates the frequency of the transmitter to be in the AM band.
